Speculation & certainty — はず, よう, らしい, そう, かもしれない
接続：ふつう形（な形は〜な、Nは〜の） ＋ ようだ
It seems, it seems… — speculate from what one sees, hears, feels.
注意 / Note：The basis is the speaker's direct experience so it is quite certain. In addition, ようだ is also used to simile: 夢のようだ.
比較 / Compare：ようだ（I see for myself）／らしい（I heard）／そうだ・様態（only look at the outside）.
よく出る形 / Common form：〜。〜ようだ。／Nのようだ。
道がぬれている。夜の間に雨が降ったようだ。
Wet road. Looks like it rained last night.
彼は元気がない。何かあったようだ。
He has no spirit. Looks like something happened.
この店は人気があるようですね。
This restaurant seems to be popular.
