接続：音・におい・味・感じ ＋ がする
There is a sound…, there is a smell…, there is a taste…, there is a feeling… — felt through senses other than sight.
注意 / Note：Accompanying nouns are very limited: 音, 声, におい, 味, 感じ, 寒気, めまい, 頭痛. Not for visible things.
比較 / Compare：においがする（smells）／においをかぐ（actively smells）.
よく出る形 / Common form：（場所）から Nがする。
台所からいいにおいがする。
From the kitchen there is a fragrant smell.
外で変な音がしました。
There was a strange noise outside.
何だか寒気がします。
For some reason, I felt chills.
