接続：名／動辞書形 ＋ に至（いた）って(は)／に至っても
Once it reaches the level/stage... then...／Even though it has reached that level, it's still.... Emphasizes the extreme situation.
注意 / Note：〜に至っては is also used to give the most extreme example in a series of events.
比較 / Compare：〜始末だ is always a bad ending, often combined with ついに・とうとう・最後には.
よく出る形 / Common form：動辞書形＋始末だ.
死者が出るに至って、ようやく対策が取られた。
Only when someone dies will there be countermeasures.
ここに至っても、彼はまだ非を認めない。
Even at this point, he still doesn't admit his mistake.
彼は約束を破り、最後には連絡を絶つ始末だ。
He broke his promise, eventually cutting off contact.
