Quotes & nested questions — と言う, と思う, かどうか, 疑問詞＋か
接続：「…」と言う（直接引用）／ふつう形 ＋ と言う（間接引用）
Say… — quote. Directly use 「」, indirectly use ふつう形 ＋ と.
注意 / Note：Before と is always ふつう形, even though the main sentence is polite: 彼は行くと言いました（not ×行きますと）. Speech と → って.
比較 / Compare：「また来ます」と言った（original）／また来ると言った（narrating）.
よく出る形 / Common form：（人）は「…」と言いました。／（人）はふつう形＋と言いました。
彼は「また来ます」と言いました。
He said 'I will come again'.
田中さんは明日来ると言いました。
Mr. Tanaka said he would come tomorrow.
