Quotes & nested questions — と言う, と思う, かどうか, 疑問詞＋か
接続：疑問詞 ＋ ふつう形 ＋ か
Who/where/when/what… (do something) — insert questions with question words into the larger sentence.
注意 / Note：The inner clause must be in ふつう形, politeness is determined by the main verb at the end of the sentence: 誰が来るか知っていますか.
比較 / Compare：だれが来るか知っていますか（yes 疑問詞→use か）／来るかどうか知っていますか（Yes/No→use かどうか）.
よく出る形 / Common form：疑問詞＋ふつう形＋か＋知っています／分かります／覚えています。
パーティーにだれが来るか知っていますか。
Do you know who is coming to the party?
いつ出発するか、まだ決めていません。
I still haven't decided when to depart.
どこで買ったか覚えていません。
I don't remember where I bought it.
