ファミリーマートが新型レジを全店導入へ　有人とセルフを1台で切り替え

ファミリーマートふぁみりーまーとは、店員が操作そうさする「有人モード」と客が自分で会計する「セルフモード」を1台で切り替えられる新型POSレジを、全国の店舗へ本格的に導入どうにゅうすると発表しました。2027年2月末までに、約16,500店舗に設置せっちする予定です。

FamilyMart has announced that it will officially introduce a new POS register nationwide that can switch between "manned mode" operated by staff and "self-service mode" for customers to pay by themselves on a single unit. It is scheduled to be installed in approximately 16,500 stores by the end of February 2027.

この新型レジは、時間帯や状況じょうきょうに合わせてモードを自由に変更できます。買い物客で混雑こんざつする時間や、お酒・たばこの販売など店員の対応たいおうが必要な時は有人モードにし、深夜しんやや店員が品出しをする時はセルフモードにして運用うんようします。

This new register can freely change modes according to the time of day and situation. It will be set to manned mode during busy shopping hours or when staff assistance is required, such as for selling alcohol and tobacco, and operated in self-service mode late at night or when staff are stocking shelves.

また、画面の表示ひょうじは日本語と英語に対応する予定です。店員だけでなく客自身も画面で言語を切り替えられるため、外国人の買い物客がスムーズに利用できるようになります。さらに、外国人スタッフのレジ操作における負担ふたんを減らす効果こうかも期待きたいされています。

In addition, the screen display is planned to support both Japanese and English. Since not only the staff but also the customers themselves can switch languages on the screen, foreign shoppers will be able to use it smoothly. Furthermore, it is expected to have the effect of reducing the burden on foreign staff when operating the register.

新型レジには自動釣銭機が標準ひょうじゅんで搭載とうさいされています。これにより、お釣りの渡し間違いがなくなり、現金の管理かんりがとても簡単になります。また、店員が直接ちょくせつお金に触れる必要がないため、ホットスナックなどを販売する際の衛生えいせい面も向上こうじょうします。

The new register is equipped with an automatic change dispenser as standard. This eliminates errors in giving back change and makes cash management very simple. In addition, since staff do not need to touch cash directly, hygiene when selling hot snacks at the counter will also be improved.

ファミリーマートは、この新型レジの導入によって店舗の業務を効率化こうりつかし、深刻しんこくな人手不足に対応することを目指しています。レジ業務の負担を減らすことで、2030年度までに店舗の労働時間を2025年度と比べて2割削減さくげんする計画けいかくです。

FamilyMart aims to streamline store operations and address severe labor shortages by introducing this new register. By reducing the burden of register duties, they plan to cut store labor hours by 20% by fiscal 2030 compared to fiscal 2025.
