大阪市で、日本語教育機関に関わる人々の中で結核の集団感染が確認されました。大阪市によると、市内に住む20代の女性関係者が結核と診断されたことがきっかけでした。
A cluster infection of tuberculosis has been confirmed among people associated with a Japanese language educational institution in Osaka City. According to Osaka City, the outbreak was triggered when a woman in her 20s living in the city was diagnosed with tuberculosis.
この女性は去年の11月から咳やたんの症状が続いていました。今年6月に症状が悪化したため、7月に医療機関を受診したところ、結核感染が判明しました。
This woman had been suffering from symptoms of coughing and phlegm since November last year. As her symptoms worsened in June this year, she visited a medical institution in July, where her tuberculosis infection was identified.
判明後、保健所がこの女性と接触した関係者などを対象に健康診断や調査を行いました。その結果、新たに2人が発病し、症状はまだないものの感染している人が9人見つかり、合わせて12人の感染者・発病者が確認されました。
Following the diagnosis, the public health center conducted health checkups and investigations targeting contacts of the woman. As a result, 2 new people developed symptoms and 9 asymptomatic infected people were identified, bringing the total number of infected or diseased persons to 12.
大阪市によると、市内では昨年1年間で489人の結核患者が確認されています。市は定期的な健診を勧めるとともに、長引く咳や微熱、倦怠感がある場合は早期に医療機関を受診するよう呼びかけています。
According to Osaka City, 489 tuberculosis patients were confirmed in the city in the past year alone. The city recommends regular health checkups and urges people to seek early medical consultation if they experience persistent coughing, slight fever, or fatigue.
