東京・八重洲の鉄骨崩落で5人死傷　強度計算ミスで大林組社員2人を書類送検

2023年9月に東京とうきょう・八重洲やえすのビル建設現場けんせつげんばで鉄骨てっこつが崩落ほうらくし、作業員5人が死傷ししょうした事故がありました。警視庁けいしちょうは18日、業務上過失致死傷ぎょうむじょうかしつちししょうの疑いで、大林組おおばやしぐみの社員2人を書類送検しょるいそうけんしました。

Regarding the September 2023 accident where steel beams collapsed at a building construction site in Yaesu, Tokyo, killing and injuring five workers, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police referred two Obayashi Corporation employees to prosecutors on the 18th on suspicion of professional negligence resulting in death and injury.

送検されたのは、当時現場の作業主任だった34歳の男と、副所長だった50歳の男です。2人は2023年9月19日午前9時ごろ、梁5本を崩落させて作業員さぎょういんらを死傷させた疑いが持たれています。調査ちょうさによると、梁を支える仮設構造物である「支保工しほこう」の強度きょうど計算けいさんを誤り、鉄骨の重さに耐えられなくなったことが原因とみられます。

Those referred to prosecutors are a 34-year-old man who was the work supervisor at the site and a 50-year-old man who was the deputy director. They are suspected of causing five steel beams to collapse around 9:00 a.m. on 19 September 2023, killing and injuring workers. Investigators believe the cause was an error in calculating the strength of the shoring support frame, which failed to withstand the weight of the beams.

この事故では、作業員の原裕一郎はらゆういちろうさん（当時33）と花田大和はなだひろかずさん（当時43）の2人が約20メートル下に落下らっかして死亡しました。さらに、20代から40代の作業員3人が重傷じゅうしょうを負いました。

In this accident, two workers—Yuichiro Hara (then 33) and Hirokazu Hanada (then 43)—fell approximately 20 meters to their deaths. In addition, three other workers in their 20s to 40s suffered severe injuries.

警視庁によると、作業主任の男が計算を担当たんとうした際、梁の重量を誤って軽く見積もりみつもりていました。報告ほうこくを受けた副所長もその間違いに気づけませんでした。取り調べに対し、作業主任は認識にんしきが甘かったと容疑ようぎを認めていますが、副所長は誤りに気づくのは不可能だったとして容疑を一部否認ひにんしています。

According to the Metropolitan Police, the work supervisor mistakenly underestimated the weight of the steel beams when performing the calculation. The deputy director who received the report also failed to notice the error. During questioning, the supervisor admitted to the allegations, acknowledging his lack of awareness, while the deputy director partially denied the charges, claiming it was impossible to notice the error.

現場はJRジェイアール東京駅とうきょうえき近くの再開発さいかいはつエリアで、大林組などの共同企業体きょうどうきぎょうたいが工事を進めていました。51階建ての複合施設ふくごうしせつや7階建ての劇場げきじょう棟などが含まれ、現在はすでに完成しています。

The site was located in a redevelopment area near JR Tokyo Station, where a joint venture led by Obayashi Corporation was carrying out construction. The project included a 51-story complex with offices and a bus terminal as well as a 7-story theater building, and construction has now been completed.
