15日午後、奈良県十津川村の川で、国籍こくせきがベトナムの男性が溺れおぼれる意識いしき不明の状態で病院に搬送はんそうされましたが、死亡しぼう確認かくにんされました。

On the afternoon of the 15th, a Vietnamese man drowned in a river in Totsukawa Village, Nara Prefecture. He was taken to hospital unconscious but was later confirmed dead.

警察によると、15日午後0時半ごろ、十津川村上野地のオートキャンプ場付近ふきんの川で遊んでいた男性が溺れました。近くにいた別のグループの男性2人が川に入り、救助きゅうじょしました。男性は意識がない状態で運ばれ、病院で亡くなりました。助けた2人にけがはありません。

According to police, around 12:30 p.m. on the 15th the man was playing in the river near an auto campground in Uenoji, Totsukawa Village, when he drowned. Two men from another group nearby entered the river and rescued him. He was taken away unconscious and died in hospital. The two rescuers were uninjured.

亡くなったのは、大阪府八尾市に住む26歳のベトナム人の会社員かいしゃいんの男性です。朝から家族や親戚しんせきら8人ほどでキャンプきゃんぷに来ていたということです。

The deceased was a 26-year-old Vietnamese company employee living in Yao City, Osaka Prefecture. He had come camping that morning with about eight family members and relatives.

現場は「谷瀬つり橋オートキャンプ場」の近くで、夏は多くの人が川遊びを楽しむ場所です。日本有数の長さを持つ吊り橋つりばし「谷瀬の吊り橋」も近くにあります。男性は子どもと川遊びをしようとして先に川に入り、深みふかみにはまって溺れたとみられています。ライフジャケットは着ていなかったということです。

The site is near Tanise Tsuribashi Auto Campground, a popular place for river play in summer. The Tanise Suspension Bridge, one of Japan’s longest, is also nearby. The man is believed to have entered the river first to play with children, got into a deep area and drowned. He was not wearing a life jacket.

警察は、男性が溺れた詳しい経緯けいい調査ちょうさしています。

Police are investigating the detailed circumstances of how the man drowned.
