Time relation — just now… then, as soon as, since
接続：動辞書形 ＋ なり
Just… is (right away)…. Right after action A, the subject immediately does action B unexpectedly, unusually.
注意 / Note：The subject before and after must be the SAME person, and not the speaker. The latter is a surprising action. Writing.
比較 / Compare：〜なり: the subject of both sides must be the same person and not the speaker; 〜が早いか does not have this constraint.
よく出る形 / Common form：動辞書形＋なり＋（意外な行動）。Must be an act of surprise.
彼は帰ってくるなり、自分の部屋に閉じこもってしまった。
As soon as he got home, he immediately went into his room and closed the door.
母は電話を切るなり、泣き出した。
Mom just hung up the phone and burst into tears.
彼は部屋に入るなり、窓を全部開けた。
As soon as he entered the room, he opened all the windows.
