It's not… where…. Refute the absurd premise → should don't do that / should do differently.
注意 / Note：Spoken language has a blaming, disparaging tone. The latter part is often advice and criticism.
比較 / Compare：〜ではあるまいし（mouth language, reproach）／〜ではないのだから（more neutral）.
よく出る形 / Common form：名／普通形＋ではあるまいし＋（忠告・批判）.
子供ではあるまいし、そんなことで泣くな。
It's not like children cry because of that.
神様ではあるまいし、未来のことなど分かるはずがない。
There are no gods who can know the future.
