If (the situation is bad) like that…. Present a bad situation and predict a bad outcome.
注意 / Note：The latter is usually 〜だろう／〜ない (unable to succeed). Take a critical, warning tone.
比較 / Compare：〜ようでは（stating bad condition → bad forecast, warning tone）／〜なら（neutral condition）.
よく出る形 / Common form：動辞書形・ている＋ようでは＋（否定的な予測）.
こんな簡単な問題も解けないようでは、合格は無理だ。
