Accompanying action — by the way…, both… and (parallel)
接続：名（動作性）＋ かたがた
By the way… (do that too). One action but two purposes, the main purpose is the former.
注意 / Note：Very formal, used in letters and social greetings（お礼かたがた・お見舞いかたがた）.
比較 / Compare：〜かたがた（very formal, correspondence/social）／〜がてら（casual, intimate）。Both have “one purpose, two purposes”.
よく出る形 / Common form：名（動作性）＋かたがた。Frequent: お礼かたがた・ご報告かたがた・お見舞いかたがた.

I came to say hello and thank you by the way.
散歩かたがた、郵便局に寄ってきた。
I went for a walk and stopped by the post office.
