接続：名 ＋ であれ／であろうと（疑問詞と共に多い）
Even if… it's still…. Regardless of the object the same applies.
注意 / Note：Often used with question words: どんな理由であれ・だれであれ. Formal.
比較 / Compare：〜であれ／であろうと is often used with question words（どんな・だれ・何）.
よく出る形 / Common form：名＋であれ／であろうと＋（共通の結論）.
どんな理由であれ、暴力は許されない。
Whatever the reason, violence cannot be tolerated.
相手がだれであろうと、態度を変えるべきではない。
No matter who the opponent is, you should not change your attitude.
どんな事情であろうと、締め切りは守らなければならない。
No matter what the situation is, you must keep the deadline.
