接続：動意向形 ＋ と／が ＋ 同動詞辞書形 ＋ まいと／まいが
Whether… or not… is…. Two opposing possibilities but the same result.
注意 / Note：Ⅱ類動詞/する can be 食べまい・するまい／しまい. Emphasize "irrelevant".
比較 / Compare：〜まい is an ancient speculative negative form: Ⅰ類 降るまい／Ⅱ類 食べまい／する→するまい・しまい.
よく出る形 / Common form：動意向形＋と／が＋同じ動詞の辞書形＋まいと／まいが.
彼が来ようと来るまいと、会議は予定通り始める。
Whether he comes or not, the meeting will still start on time.
雨が降ろうが降るまいが、明日は出発する。
Rain or no rain, I'll leave tomorrow.
君が信じようと信じるまいと、これは事実だ。
Believe it or not, this is still the truth.
