高市早苗首相は17日、東京都内の病院を受診しました。官邸関係者によると、衆院選の遊説中に持病の関節リウマチの症状が悪化した手の検査などを受けたということです。

首相は午前10時ごろに東京・信濃町の病院に到着し、約6時間半が経過した午後4時半前に病院を後にしました。受診は半年ぶりで、今年2月の衆院選後にも同じ病院で手の検査を受けていました。当時は自身のSNSに「炎症と痛みが治まれば大丈夫」と投稿していました。
The prime minister arrived at the hospital in Shinano-machi, Tokyo, around 10 a.m. and left just before 4:30 p.m. after staying for about 6.5 hours. This was her first visit in six months; she had also undergone a hand examination at the same hospital after the House of Representatives election in February this year. At that time she posted on social media that “it should be fine once the inflammation and pain subside.”
高市首相は持病として関節リウマチを抱えており、選挙期間中に握手をした際に手を強く引っ張られて痛めたと説明していました。秋に想定される臨時国会に向けて、体調を整えるための受診とみられています。
Prime Minister Takaichi has rheumatoid arthritis as a chronic condition. She had explained that during the election period her hand was strongly pulled when shaking hands and became painful.
