Ways to use 〜よう
接続：V辞書形・Vない + ように + 言う・頼む・祈る
let / hope that…. Conveys an indirect request or wish toward a state.
注意 / Note：Check connection form and context; Avoid mechanical application of translation.
比較 / Compare：Compare with other models of the same article to distinguish functions and nuances. Same 課: 〜(かの)ようだ／〜のようだ／〜ように…(1)／〜ように…(3) — these models are often mistaken for each other, read the 接続 line carefully and then decide.
先生は遅れないように言いました。
Teachers told me not to be late.
母に牛乳を買うように頼まれました。
My mother asked me to buy milk.
試験に合格できますように。
Hope I can pass the exam.
