Purpose, reason, reverse, list — ために, ように, ので, のに, し, たり
接続：V辞書形 ＋ のに ＋ 使う／要る／必要だ／便利だ／かかる
Used to…, to do something… — state uses and then evaluate the cost, time, and convenience.
注意 / Note：Just attach to 辞書形 and the following must be evaluation words: 使う, 要る, 必要だ, 便利だ, かかる, いい.
比較 / Compare：切るのに使う（used to cut — use）／切ったのに切れない（cut without breaking — continue playing with it）.
よく出る形 / Common form：V辞書形＋のに、便利です／時間がかかります。
このはさみは紙を切るのに使います。
These scissors are used to cut paper.
駅まで行くのに30分かかります。
It takes 30 minutes to go to the station.
このアプリは漢字を調べるのに便利です。
This app is convenient for looking up Chinese characters.
