Purpose, reason, reverse, list — ために, ように, ので, のに, し, たり
接続：ふつう形（な形は〜な、Nは〜な） ＋ のに
And yet, even though… but… — the result was contrary to expectations, accompanied by a feeling of surprise, regret, and blame.
注意 / Note：The following sentence does not use will, command, or inducement. Stronger in emotions than が and けど.
比較 / Compare：のに（have feelings of regret/blame）／が・けど（neutral opposition）／ても（though… still）.
よく出る形 / Common form：〜のに、〜（意外な結果）。／〜のに。（文末で不満）
たくさん勉強したのに、試験に落ちてしまいました。
I studied so much but I still failed.
約束したのに、彼は来なかった。
We made an appointment but he didn't come.
まだ4月なのに、暑いですね。
It's only April but it's hot.
