Command, prohibition, obligation — 命令形, なさい, なければならない, てもいい
接続：V辞書形 ＋ な
Forbid, don't…! — prohibition is very strong and rough, on the same level as command.
注意 / Note：Not to be confused with 〜なさい (soft) or the sentence-final particle 〜な (exclamation). Here attach 辞書形: 吸うな.
比較 / Compare：吸うな（forbid — rude）／吸ってはいけない（forbid — standard）／吸わないでください（please don't — polite）.
よく出る形 / Common form：V辞書形＋な。（標識・掲示・怒った口調）
ここでたばこを吸うな。
Smoking is prohibited here.
