Maintain point of view ① — use passive voice
用法：主語を変えないための受身
In a paragraph, you should maintain the same subject (point of view); If you want to do that, change the sentence to passive voice instead of changing the subject.
注意 / Note：This is a great point in 文章の文法: choose 「〜れる」 or 「〜する」 depending on who is the subject of the paragraph.
比較 / Compare：Keep the topic of the paragraph unchanged: if the topic is “I”, then the following sentence is used in the passive voice, without changing to the other person.
よく出る形 / Common form：Frequently asked question: choose 〜する or 〜される → see who the subject of the paragraph is.
わたしは会議で意見を述べた。しかし、部長に反対された。
I spoke at the meeting. But was opposed by the department head.（keeping “my” point of view）
×わたしは意見を述べた。しかし、部長がわたしに反対した。
This sentence changes the subject to the department head, so the point of view is distorted.
私は提案をした。だが、上層部に却下された。
I proposed. But was rejected by superiors.
