Conditional sentences — たら / ば / と / なら / 場合
接続：ふつう形／N ＋ なら（な形・N は だ を取る）
If it's... then..., talking about... then... — receive what the other person just said and then give advice and opinions.
注意 / Note：Characteristics: the following clause occurs first or is unrelated to order. 日本へ行くなら、ガイドブックを買ったほうがいい（buy before you go）.
比較 / Compare：日本へ行ったら、写真を送ってね（after arriving）／日本へ行くなら、円を用意して（before leaving）.
よく出る形 / Common form：（相手の話を受けて）〜なら、〜たほうがいいですよ。
日本語を習うなら、この学校がいいですよ。
If you study Japanese, this school is good.
温泉に行くなら、箱根がおすすめです。
If going to a hot spring, I recommend Hakone.
安いのなら、買います。
If it's cheap, I buy it.
