注意 / Note：TWO meanings. One is to direct the action towards someone (お客様に対して丁寧に). The second is OPPOSITE two sides, and at that time it is always accompanied by のに: 兄が活発なのに対して、弟は静かだ. Look at whether there is のに or not to distinguish.
比較 / Compare：Same song: 〜をめぐって／〜に関して. These models are often mistakenly chosen for each other — carefully read the 接続 and nuances above and then decide.
よく出る形 / Common form：名詞＋に対して（towards）／普通形＋のに対して（opposite）。The opposite meaning is often found in comparative writing.
