熊本地震後の会見と復旧　工場事故への調査が続く

熊本県くまもとけんでは、大きな地震じしんから9日がたちました。被災地ひさいちでは、行方不明者ゆくえふめいしゃの確認かくにんや、生活再建せいかつさいけんに向けた取り組みとりくみが続いています。

In Kumamoto Prefecture, nine days have passed since the major earthquake. In the affected areas, work to account for the missing and efforts towards rebuilding daily life are still under way.

八代市やつしろしの工場で従業員じゅうぎょういん9人が亡くなった事故じこについて、会社は初めて記者会見きしゃかいけんを開きました。社長しゃちょうは、遺族いぞくや関係者に哀悼あいとうの意を示し、原因究明げんいんきゅうめいを進める考えを説明しました。

Regarding the accident that killed nine employees at a factory in Yatsushiro City, the company held its first press conference. The president offered condolences to the bereaved families and others affected, and said the company would press ahead with determining the cause.

会見では、設備せつびの点検てんけんや、安全対策あんぜんたいさくの見直しみなおしが最優先さいゆうせんだと強調されました。また、外部の専門家せんもんかにも協力を求め、工場の構造こうぞうや当時の避難ひなんの流れを詳しく調べる方針です。

At the briefing, the company stressed that inspecting equipment and reviewing safety measures were the highest priority. It also plans to seek help from outside experts to examine the factory's structure and the evacuation sequence at the time in greater detail.

一方で、地域では断水だんすいや猛暑もうしょの影響が続いています。酪農らくのうをしている人たちからは、牛の世話や衛生管理えいせいかんりが難しいという声も出ています。日々の暮らしを立て直す前に、まず命いのちと健康を守らなければならない状況です。

Meanwhile, the effects of the water outage and extreme heat continue locally. Dairy farmers say caring for their cattle and maintaining hygiene has become very difficult. In these conditions, protecting life and health must come before restoring everyday routines.

さらに、台風たいふうの接近も心配されています。地震の後に大雨や強風が重なると、土砂崩れどしゃくずれなどの二次被害にじひがいが起こるおそれがあるからです。行政は、早めの避難や情報共有じょうほうきょうゆうを呼びかけています。

There is also concern about an approaching typhoon. If heavy rain and strong winds follow the earthquake, secondary damage such as landslides could occur. Authorities are therefore urging early evacuation and closer information sharing.
